Baby Dedication Services
During the year we offer three times for parents to pubically dedicate their children to the Lord. Dedication services are offered on Mother’s Day, Father's Day, and one in the month of November. Dedication services take place during all three regular worship services. Parents who are interested in participating in one of these special services may contact the church office to sign up their child.
During this service, parents will be asked several questions conerening the upbringing of their child. Our Senior Pastor, Marty Jacumin, will offer a prayer for the child and the family and then dedicate them to the Lord. Families are encouraged to invite extended family members to witness this special event. Each child will receive a certificate of dedication and a Bible. Children do not have to be infants to be dedicated. Many times parents join our church from other areas and want to have their older preschoolers dedicated. We welcome these children and families to our dedication services.
Each family is asked to provide two pictures of their child that can be used in a special program and for our large projection screen during the dedication service. These photographs will be returned.

Children's Baptism
What an exciting time in the life of a parent when they have the opportunity to talk with their children about their need for a Savior, and their children see the importance of following through with believer’s baptism.
The Bay Leaf Kids Ministry strives to help parents as they prepare their children for this special journey in their faith. In order to build upon the children’s foundation we offer “I’m A Christian Now” class for preschool and elementary children. In this class, they will learn the fundamentals of being a Christian: sin, repentance, Baptism, the Lord’s Supper, and more. We encourage parents to enroll their children in this class after they have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
During the class, we encourage parents to converse with their children to reiterate what they have gleaned from the class. We recommend that parents set up an appointment with a pastor on staff to counsel with their children about public profession of faith, and baptism.
We are eager to help parents with this important task. Feel free to call us with questions about sharing the salvation message with your child or to get help in answering their questions.
