MULTIPLY

Submit your commitment

Be a part of the 100% engagement by making a commitment to the Multiply Generosity Initiative.

Throughout 2024, the Lord has done amazing things in us and through us at Bay Leaf Baptist Church, and that has extended to our community and our world. He has given us every reason to trust Him, and we respond by honoring Him with our first and our best.

We are now at the midpoint of our Multiply Generosity Initiative, and we praise the Lord for all He is doing in and through us. The midpoint of an initiative allows an opportunity to celebrate what God has done and invite others into the movement of God at Bay Leaf.

Over 149 new members have joined our church since November of 2023, and we recognize that many of them have not had a chance to commit to Multiply. It’s also possible that some in our church family who have already committed may feel like the Lord is prompting them to grow their current commitment.

As we enter the final year of Multiply, we want to allow everyone to follow the Lord’s leading and commit as a part of our church.

Therefore, we're providing a Midpoint Commitment Card. Use this card to pray about your commitment as we approach the midpoint of Multiply. If you have questions, you can see the recommendations below on filling out the commitment card. We pray you seek the Lord and consider what He leads you to do.

We will have more information about how to use this card, if you feel led to do so, on Sunday, January 19.

Click the category that applies to you below for recommended steps on filling out your Midpoint Commitment Card.

How to fill out your Midpoint Commitment Card.

NEW COMMITMENT

Maybe you recently joined our church family and are wondering, “What is the Multiply Generosity Initiative and how do I become a part of it?” Multiply is for anyone who would call Bay Leaf their church home and we welcome you to the family! We hope you will join us as we seek to saturate North Raleigh with the gospel. It’s not too late to consider joining this movement of God by making a one year generosity commitment to Multiply.

Steps to Fill Out Your Commitment Card

  1. Under the I Am New to Multiply section, check the first box beside I would like to make a 12-month commitment to the Multiply generosity initiative in the amount of:.
  2. Next, after you have prayed about what the Lord would like you to commit, fill in the space below that line with the amount of what your commitment is over the next year (January – December 2025). This number includes your regular giving (for instance, what you’re already giving) plus your expanded giving that you believe God is leading you to. Included in this amount might be anything you’re giving from stored resources as you think about the things God has provided for you.

NOTE: Don’t forget to fill out your contact information at the bottom before turning in your commitment card if you feel led to do so on Sunday, January 19. You can also complete the commitment card form online if you cannot attend that Sunday.

FINISH STRONG

Our goal in Multiply has always been 100% engagement. For us to accomplish all that God has entrusted to us, every person that calls Bay Leaf home will need to faithfully give as the Lord leads. Many of our members made commitments last year, and we are asking everyone who committed and those are just now committing to see this initiative through to the end. Will you help us by continuing to give your best in this season of intentional generosity?

GROW

Some of us made our Multiply commitment one year ago, and it is possible that the Lord is asking you to grow your commitment. Maybe He has blessed you in an unforeseen way that will allow you to be even more of a blessing to this new work. While we acknowledge that every commitment that we made last year was a sacrifice, maybe God has opened a door for even greater generosity since then. Would you pray and ask yourself if He is inviting you into another step of faith by growing your commitment?

Steps to Fill Out Your Commitment Card

  1. Under the I Am Already Committed to Multiply section, there is a spot to write your current two-year commitment. Please write your current two-year commitment there. This is the number you committed to in the Fall of 2023. (If you’re unsure what that number is, please check the quarterly updates we’ve been mailing you.)
  2. Next, if the Lord is leading you to finish strong with your current commitment, check the Confirm my commitment to finish strong box. For others who feel the Lord is asking them to grow their commitment, check the Grow my two-year commitment to: box. Then, fill in the space below that checkbox with the amount you want to grow your commitment to. This number is not your increase but the new total of your two-year commitment – what you’re increasing your two-year total commitment to.
  3. includes your regular giving (for instance, what you’re already giving) plus your expanded giving that you believe God is leading you to.

Use the Gift Chart

As you consider what the Lord is leading you, or you and your family, to commit, use the Gift Chart on the back of the commitment card. It will be helpful as you think and as you pray through the final year of Multiply and what that looks like in your life. This chart represents the kinds of gifts that might be possible in a church like ours in a season like this. If you haven't yet prayed about the number you can't do, you probably haven't yet prayed about the number you should do. Allow God to stretch your faith in bold ways through giving through this chart. Then, boldly and confidently make your commitment to this important spiritually stretching kingdom-building initiative.

Mark Your Calendars

On January 19, during both services, you can turn in the MID-POINT Commitment Card if you feel led to do so.
